Nimri Kulluks cultural project.
Laying stone upon stone for art in an Anatolian village
This project is inspired by the stone structures known as kulluks that have existed for centuries in the mountains of Nimri, a village in the Keban region of the province of Elazig. Its aim is to make an Anatolian village visible through art.
This activity, led by the Karagoz Art Centre, brings together artists, universities, cultural institutions and art lovers.
It's a collective, participatory, non-profit and voluntary action.
Kulluk is named differently in different parts of the world: "Cairn", "Obo - Ovoo", "Üle", "Taas Kihite", "İnuksuk" "Saywa"... .
