Imran Salkan, the daughter of a family who immigrated from Macedonia, is an artist who brings the rich musical heritage of Thrace to the audience with her strong and unique voice. With her unique interpretations, she presents Thracian traditional songs in their most natural and impressive form.  Her works, which she performs with traditional instruments, make the listeners feel the depth and spirit of the music in a powerful way.

The traditional songs performed by İmran Salkan bring joy and sadness to the stage at the same time.  These melodies reflect the multicultural structure of Thrace and the common feelings of the peoples. Thracian music stands out as dance music with its enthusiastic rhythms and energetic structure, and at the same time, it strongly contains deep emotions such as love, separation and sadness.

Thrace is an extremely culturally rich region that has hosted many different peoples throughout history. The music of the peoples who lived in this geography has reached the present day by influencing and enriching each other over time. Imran Salkan revitalizes this cultural diversity of Thracian and Balkan music on stage, while conveying the story behind each folk song to his audience.
